Hi, my name is Amanda and I am lucky enough to call myself Roger's mom. Roger is my 12-year-old beagle that I adopted after my freshman year of veterinary technician school. He is a retired research beagle that got me through severe anxiety and depression during my freshman year of college. He is also a certified therapy dog, who has brought joy to hundreds of people through his visits to hospitals, schools, nursing homes and libraries. We lost my beagle Hallee in October 2020 after a brief but severe illness. In July of 2021, my world was shattered after losing my very best friend, my mom, to pancreatic cancer. I can honestly say I would not be here today if it wasn't for Roger's constant and unconditional love.

Roger was diagnosed with lymphoma in early April of 2022. He underwent chemotherapy and did great, and was officially in remission. However, he, unfortunately, relapsed in the middle of January 2023. His quality of life is still great - he is active, eating well, and happy, with a constantly wagging tail. I want to give him every chance possible to enjoy as much quality time left as I can give him. Our best chance at achieving this is another round of chemotherapy.

I was able to afford his first round of chemotherapy simply because I was lucky enough to have an oncologist available at the hospital I work at - I was able to get a generous discount and make monthly payments toward the total treatment cost. Unfortunately, our oncologist has since moved hospitals, and I no longer have that luxury. The cost of Roger's chemotherapy treatment will be approximately $6500 - I'm applying for financial assistance programs and have CareCredit, but it won't be enough to cover the entire cost.

I hate asking for help for anything, especially for financial help, but I have no other choice. Roger is my best friend, my rock, my best little guy. I truly can't picture life without him and I can't even fathom giving up on him now Anything you can offer towards his treatment would be so incredibly appreciated. Thank you from both of us!
