Help Angel

We are raising money for our Union brother Angel Barreto, a newer industrial scenic crew member of our HBO Max tv series “Boss”.

He was injured on our job when working outside on the streets of Ridgewood, Queens over three weeks ago. Through snow and icy rain showers, Angel worked with us outside and played a big part in keeping the scenic crew organized and finishing our location on time.

On the last day there, while power washing “Flood dirt” off of columns under the subway train tracks, his ankle got tangled in a garden hose when a car ran over the hose and dragged him 10 to 15 feet down the street. He bruised his whole left side , from head to toe, injured his knee which may need an operation, plus his left lung was bruised from the fall. He is stuck in the Workman’s Comp system and awaiting approval for an MRI of his knee before he can move forward .

As a newer member he hasn’t qualified for local 829 health insurance yet….and missing days while he heals is delaying that process plus providing no income to his family. He could be out of work for a long time as doctors haven’t cleared him to come back yet.

We hope to gather contributions to help Angel and his wife get through this difficult time and to help him get back on his feet asap!

Please show Angel we wish him well and hope for a quick recovery!!
