Zack's Surgery

For those that know me, know that I am a huge animal lover, specifically to my two cats, Zacarías (Zack) and Zora. For those who don't know me, I work full time in healthcare, and I'm working towards nursing school. My cats mean the world to me.

I met Zack as a kitten in 2019 when I was working at an animal shelter. I immediately fell in love with him, and since then him and his sister have been my support and my joy. They are family. Zack is the cat that waits by the door when I come home from work everyday, he sleeps in my bed, he wakes me up by licking and biting my ears. There is never a dull moment.

I recently came to the discovery (after several expensive vet visits) that Zack has a disease called Stomatitis. His mouth ulcers and the swelling of his gums has impacted his ability to eat. He will be having surgery on October 26th, 2023 where he will undergo anesthesia and have all of his teeth extracted. Unfortunately, this is not a cheap procedure, but it is the best thing to do as he is in a lot of pain.
