Save Marshall

Hi my name is Sheena Becker, and I’m a mom of 8. We adopted Marshall at 18 months into our family as an emotional support animal for my daughter Addisen. Two and a half weeks ago on January 19th 2022 he jumped our fence and went missing. Marshall has always come back but this time he didn’t. Tonight, on February 5th, Marshall was found dumped in our home town and was found luckily by a family friend. He was severely dehydrated and emaciated. We rushed him to the WSU veterinary emergency clinic, where we found out that he ingested an enormous amount of plastic, a nail, and more random garbage. Although he threw up quite a large amount of the garbage, xrays showed that there may still be a significant amount of garbage stuck in his stomach; if this does not pass, Marshall may need more tests and possibly a surgery. The surgery may end up costing $10,000 and more on top of the tests and other things they have already done. Marshall has been apart of our family for almost 2 years. We love him so very much. It is a miracle that he has come back to us alive and with the possibility of recovery; the only thing preventing him from coming home are these vet bills. Marshall is a very active dog, who loves to play with the kids and chase birds. He especially loves to cuddle. Since covid, we have been struggling financially and cannot afford to pay for the cost of Marshall’s vet bills and we have no where else to turn. We appreciate any donations possible and are very grateful.
