NO to LymphNOma: Saving Yiting Pei
Donation protected
Please help Yiting Pei put the "NO" in LymphNOma.
Yiting Pei was three years old when her father, a repairman, began to notice something odd. Her stomach was always bloated and she often woke up with night sweats. This July, the diagnosis was confirmed as lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic tissue and nodes. Living in the rural town of Suizhou, Hubei, their family is in a state of financial hardship. Yiting’s well-being relies completely on her father, who is also caring for Yiting’s mentally ill mother and blind grandmother. Her father has spent his life savings as well as borrowed money to pay for costly hospital visits in hopes of helping his daughter. He is frantic with worry and exhausted. With all the expenses, the family is now in debt. Without donor support, Yiting will be unable to afford the potentially life-saving treatment of chemotherapy. If she is treated before the cancer spreads, her chances of survival for the next five years will be nearly 90%.
Yiting’s favorite color is pink and she loves playing dress-up. She likes doing hairstyles, although unfortunately most of her hair has fallen out due to her disease. Yiting also enjoys spending time outside, making up games to play in the dirt. She is very shy but has a beautiful, genuine smile and a compassionate personality. She has just started cancer treatment and although she has had significant hair loss and undergoes painful treatment, she remains optimistic and cheerful.

Despite undergoing painful chemotherapy treatment, Yiting is brave, rarely complaining and maintaining an optimistic outlook. Photo taken 8/12/15.
Her father has been doing everything that he can to treat his daughter’s illness. A few days ago, he worked with a local grocery store manager to fundraise for Yiting. With volunteers and the store employees helping out, he sold 40 potted roses (out of the 200 he planted) and, from the flowers and donations, raised a total of $1,474 (9,437 yuan). Check out some of the photos from the event!

Lucy's mother recently visited Yiting Pei and her family in China. She and her friends also managed to donate around $3K to Yiting’s family. However, this total of $4.5K is nowhere near enough to help pay for the full regimen of expensive chemotherapy and medications. Please help support this urgent, lifesaving mission. Should there be any surplus after Yiting’s treatment, it will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Every penny helps, but if all you can do is forward or share this link with others, Yiting’s family will be incredibly grateful.
Thank you in advance for the support, hope, and donations. You can make a difference!
