Hello, my name is Rick and I am a 56 year old male from Canton, Ga.
My journey started late 2010. I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and A-Fib. I began different options over the last 8 years, I had 2 cryo-ablations preformed in 2012 & 2014 which both of these treatments lasted approx. 1 year each and they installed a defibrillator in 2012 as well. I also had several cardio versions to attempt to get my heartrate/A-Fib down. I went back into A fib in June of 2019 and have been living with heartrate >130 bpm.
Until, just this past March they installed a new Pacemaker, and performed AV Node ablation to shut off my internal heartbeat, which of course put me on permanent pacemaker dependency. This had an immediate and tremendous positive success and outlook, I had a heartrate of 80-86 bpm. Had immediate energy improvement which was exciting and promising.
The success of the pacemaker was short lived, as I started feeling ill again. 3 weeks after the pacemaker, I found myself back at ER. This time with what I thought might have been gall stones. But, it wasn’t gall stones, they diagnosed me with * Stage 4 Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma with numerous mastesis on the liver *. After such a long and successful fight regarding my heart health, the positive side is that my heart is now ready to take the treatments which begin Tuesday June 30, 2020. I am confident that this has put me at an advantage due to the increased blood flow to help with my strength during this fight.
We are not ones that ask for help, but this is a plea for assistance for, paying outstanding med bills, upcoming additional charges, and our cost of living during this time so we can downsize and keep our feet under us until the disability support is available. I am currently on med leave and will have a few months without income and this will allow us to stay in our home and get us to the point of collecting our disability. My wife and I thank you in advance and really appreciate everything and your continued prayers.
Thank you and God Bless
