In 2024 Nathan started to struggle with brain fog. Being a straight A student this was very hard.

By the end of the school year his symptoms had worsened and he was also dealing with constant pain and pressure in his head and neck, vision and digestive issues. Despite having health insurance we spent $10k for tests including MRIs, CT Scan and a spinal tap, Chiropractors, Neurologists and a Functional Medicine Doctor but were told that everything was normal. As the new school year rolled around the debilitating symptoms prevented Nathan from being able to attend school for his Senior year, something that he had been excited about and had big Academic and Band goals as a snare player and Percussionist.

As his peers celebrated their graduation Nathan continued to suffer and it was not until a fellow Senior who had dealt with her own serious health issues suggested that Nathan had a Digital Motion Xray and consult with the surgeon who had treated her, we finally got answers.

Nathan is now getting ready to go to Florida for surgery to address instability in his neck caused by damaged ligaments (damage that was completely missed in the Cervical MRI that was recently completed, that Dr Franck instantly noticed).

We have been told that the surgeon's fee of $30,000 will not be covered by our health insurance and on top of that we will need to stay in Florida for approximately 4 weeks so will be spending money on accommodation and air fares getting down there. I am sure that when all is said and done we will likely have to spend over $40,000 which is overwhelming but we are relieved that we finally have answers and can get Nathan better.

They say it takes a village so I am reaching out to my "village" I know that we are all struggling to pay bills so we truly appreciate ANYTHING and sending prayers and good vibes are equally appreciated!
