A Dreamer becoming an RN

Hello everyone, my name is Laura. I'm a Dreamer under the DACA program. I'm sure many of you have heard that term thrown around but may not fully be aware of what this program is. When I was 7 I came to the United States so that my family and I could have a better life. I have remained here ever since (I'm 29) attending school and working. While DACA grants me the ability to remain legally in the US, I am not considered a citizen and as such, am unable to obtain any amout of student loan, or scholarships subsidized by the government or government funded schools . When I  was 18 I decided to attend community college and paid for tuition by coaching soccer and working at a piano store. Unfortunately the fees became too costly and I had to end schooling. I went on to teach at a Spanish emersion school followed by beginning a career at Mayo clinic. During my 7.5 years at Mayo Clinic I climbed the ladder and after 3 years I got promoted. My co workers learned that it had always been dream of mine to become an RN however without the ability to secure student loans I was at a standstill. Then one day  I found out that my amazing  colleagues had pooled money together and gifted me a generous sum to begin schooling again through a reimbursement program. I was truly blessed. It was under this program I was able to complete 4 semesters of schooling. Unfortunately the program came to an end as covid hit and I was again left to halt my schooling career.  It wasn't until this year that I was able to restart my schooling with Mayo clinic's  Career investment program. I finally feel my dream is starting to come true. Unfortunately in order to attend classes I must drop down in hours at work.
I am humbly asking for support to assist with my school expenses and additional finances during my schooling period.
Unfortunately the past year and a half I had to take some time in the hospital due to mental health. That took a huge toll on my finances, as well as delayed DACA renewal which left me without the ability to work for several months. It has been incredibly tough to put extra money aside for school / have the ability to lower my hours.

The funds for this go-fund me will be  used for placement test, and the NCLEX, new laptop for school, school, lab and class fees, and last but not least, at time of clinicals, it will be used for as student aid for bills, since I will drop to part time to attend classes. Every dollar will be used appropriately, I promise you that.
If you happen to have a few extra bucks or would like to invest in something that will make a difference, I promise that I truly believe, that, making a difference is my purpose in this world. Proving one person at a time that kindness, and empathy  can  win it all.
Thank you!
