A Quiet House For Alison

My name is Mike Bender. I'm a father, an author, and someone who is currently healing from Lyme disease and Mast Cell Activation Disorder. I wrote an article in Men's Health Magazine last year called "The Quiet House," which documented my journey to build a human-healthy home to heal from mold, EMF, and chemical sensitivities :

Shortly after the article was published, I heard from hundreds around the world facing similar challenges. One such letter came from Grace in Puerto Rico, who has been desperately trying to raise money for her sister Alison, who became sick from Dengue Fever in 2014, which developed into Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, Mast Cell Activation and a crippling form of Multiple Chemical Sensitivity Disorder. This has affected every part of her life, exhausting her, overburdening her immune system, and keeping her from being able to go out into the world.

Grace's goal is to raise enough to build a new safer environment where Alison can begin to heal-- a quiet home of her own. Because they are based in Puerto Rico, they weren't able to start their own GoFundMe, so I've created this page to build awareness around Alison and raise the necessary money here for her cause. Everything raised here will go directly to Alison and her family.
