Help Us Lay Our Beloved Trenton to Rest

This week our family was shattered by the heartbreaking loss of my dear nephew, Trenton Joseph Rey, who took his own life. He was only 22 years old.

There are no words that can truly capture the pain we’re feeling or the light that has gone out in our lives. Trenny was a sweet, sensitive soul who carried more than he ever let on. He had the most gorgeous eyes and eyelashes. He was so proud of the car he saved up for on his own, and he poured his heart into his work as an aid in a memory care facility —showing up every day with kindness and patience for those who needed him most. He made people feel safe, seen, heard and loved. We only wish he had felt the same love for himself.

Our family is grieving in a way we never imagined. We are now faced not only with the emotional burden of this loss, but also with the financial challenge of giving Trenton the peaceful and dignified farewell he deserves.

We are reaching out with open hearts and humble hands, asking for help for my sister, Mandi, to cover funeral and memorial costs. Every dollar raised will go directly to these expenses and to supporting his immediate family during this devastating time.
