Help Asheville Recover from Hurricane Helene

I'm Seileen Mullen from Alexandria, Virginia and everyone I know, knows someone who has been effected by Hurricane Helene. The devastating stories dominate our news cycle day after day, but for those on the ground in the hurricane's path, they are just trying to survive. I called my longtime friend, Chris Murphy, in Asheville, NC. I caught him as he was loading up his truck heading from Asheville to Charlotte to make yet another run for his neighbors. He was buying, food, water and fuel and dropping them at a local makeshift distribution center. He sometimes makes this trek twice a day. He said the devastation was unbelievable. Those who had families or homes elsewhere were able to leave but the elderly and longtime residents with no support were trapped. Chris and his girlfriend Kelly, could have left. But they stayed. They are using their own funds to support those who cannot support themselves. I am asking you, my friends and family, and perhaps your friends and family, to help out the citizens of Asheville. So that Chris and Kelly can concentrate on logistics and distribution, we agreed that his friend, Eric Hall, a CPA in Boston, would collect and distribute the funds. I trust Chris and Kelly and know they would have my back the way he has his neighbors in Asheville. Please chip in. No one is making a dime off of this endeavor. But you'll be helping the citizens of Asheville who won't see their city be the same for decades come.
