About Us
Help Without Frontiers provides support along the Thai-Myanmar border to displaced people that find themselves in emergency situations from which they are unable to escape without assistance; most of them are children and youth, and we give them a chance for a better and brighter future.
At Help Without Frontiers we focus on five core areas; Education; Youth Empowerment; Child Protection; Health; and Community Development.
Main achievements of Help without Frontiers since its foundation in 2002:
OUR PROGRAMS HAVE PROVIDED:
- 4.6 million meals provided
- 54,000 students in schools
- 15,000 people with access to health services
- 100,000 stationary sets provided
- 58,000 school uniforms & 18,000 backpacks made & distributed
- 100 youth leaders trained to become role models for their communities
Due to ongoing violence inside Myanmar, enrolment numbers have pushed the Migrant Learning Centers to maximum capacity. Limited opportunities and funding are available for higher education and the transition from school.

The Rays of Hope school - a Thai registered school - will be established in Mae Sot to provide accredited education to children from both Myanmar (80%) and Thailand (20%).
Unlike the Migrant Learning Centers, the graduation certificate from the Rays of Hope School in Thailand is officially recognized and opens up further opportunities. The school is part of Help Without Frontiers and operates independently from other stakeholders. By enrolling in an officially recognized school, the young people obtain a secure residency status in Thailand and can complete their education safely.

Help Without Frontiers unterstützt an der thailändisch-myanmarischen Grenze Menschen, die sich in Notsituationen befinden, aus denen sie ohne Hilfe nicht entkommen können. Die meisten von ihnen sind Kinder und Jugendliche, denen wir eine Chance auf eine bessere und hoffnungsvollere Zukunft geben.
Bei Help Without Frontiers konzentrieren wir uns auf fünf Kernbereiche: Bildung, Jugendförderung, Kinderschutz, Gesundheit und Entwicklung der Community.
Die wichtigsten Erfolge von Help without Frontiers seit der Gründung im Jahr 2002:

Aufgrund der anhaltenden Gewalt in Myanmar sind die Zahlen an Schüler*innen so stark gestiegen, dass die Migrant Learning Centers ihre maximale Kapazität erreicht haben. Es stehen nur begrenzte Möglichkeiten und finanzielle Mittel für die Hochschulbildung und den Übergang von der Schule zur Verfügung.

Anders als bei den Migrant Learning Centers ist der Abschluss an der Rays of Hope School in Thailand anerkannt und ermöglicht einen weiteren Bildungsweg. Die Schule gehört zu Help Without Frontiers und ist unabhängig von anderen Stakeholdern. Durch das Einschreiben an einer offiziell anerkannten Schule haben die Jugendlichen einen sicheren Aufenthaltsstatus in Thailand und können ihre Ausbildung sicher beenden.
