My brother Troy was recently informed by doctors that his existing medical condition progressed into a form of cancer in his colon. Troy was given this news unexpectedly and was recommended to get surgery to remove his colon to avoid the cancer coming back. The first surgery is scheduled this week. Troy is newly married with two small children (3 years old and 5 months). Due to this sudden procedure, Troy's family will be enduring financial hardship with medical expenses and a loss of income during his recovery process. There will be a second surgery to be determined after his body adjusts to the loss of his colon.
Troy is one of the hardest working men I know, he works multiple jobs to give his beautiful family a wonderful life. He's a teacher, a referee, a couch and a mentor to his students and players. He’s a friend to everyone he meets. He’s the most loving husband to his wife Jada. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated. We trust that God is working in this unfortunate situation. Prayers are encouraged for Troy and his family as they navigate this difficult time.
**UPDATE**
Troy is doing good, surgery went well and now he’s starting the recovery process. He’s started eating soft solids and he says he feels okay. Hopefully getting discharged soon.
