UPDATE 1-10-2026
Sorry for the delayed update.
Desiree has just finished 31 days of radiation. She has been such a trooper. She is back in the gym, eating healthy, and being the best Mom, wife, daughter, friend. She has FINALLY got her liver back to a good place, after months of steroids and immunosuppressants, which wreaked havoc on her little body. She has decided not to do the additional chemo. The first round did so much instant organ damage that another round could be catastrophic. We support this 100%. She has to do what is best for her and her family.
We want to thank everyone whole heartedly for all of the support emotionally, physically and financially. This has been such a long road and that light at the end of the tunnel is blinding. She is not out of the woods yet with the bills but your generosity has helped lift that financial burden.
So thank you all again!!
UPDATE
Desiree has decided to postpone the next round of chemo to let her liver injury get better. We still have no answers as far as the liver is concerned but we feel that chemo would do more damage than good at this point. She is going to start radiation to keep the preventative going. She is still healing from the drain but her spirits are high. She has been so strong and positive thru all of this and it is truly inspiring.
If you have donated....thank you so much. It has been such a huge help for her and her family. If you can donate, please do. If you can't donate, please keep her in your thoughts and please keep sharing this GoFundMe. Thank you all so much for all of the support and love!
UPDATE
Desiree got the liver biopsy results. It was inconclusive due to steroid use. Very frustrating bc they prescribed the steroids and knew this would happen. Desiree also got the results of her lymph node pathology. They were all negative. This is amazing news!! Not sure what happens now. They have ordered an unnecessary MRI for some reason. And she is supposed to start the next round of chemo in a couple weeks. Please keep her in your thoughts. Its going to be a tough road.
Thank you to all who have donated. You are so appreciated. And please keep sharing this so we can help her as much as possible. The hospital/ surgery center bills are rolling in and they are overwhelming.
UPDATE
Desiree had her liver biopsy yesterday. Now it's a waiting game for the results...a week they said. Good vibes for some good results!!
Thank you so much to all that have donated. Your generosity means so much. If everyone can continue to share this...it would be so appreciated.
Healing is the goal and less stress with the finances will definitely help that. Thank you again!
UPDATE....as of right now Desiree is scheduled for 2 more surgeries next week. A liver biopsy and the retrieval of the rest of her lymph nodes on the same side as her cancer. She will be out of work for an extended period of time as she will have a drain placed with the 2nd surgery.
Thank you so much to all who have donated and shared this page.
Please keep it going so we can raise as much as possible for Desiree.
My name is Brea and I am raising funds to help my daughter, Desiree Comer, with her fight against triple negative stage 3 breast cancer.
She is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and best friend. She has a heart of gold and is one tough Momma. Asking for help is not her thing but the medical bills are stacking up weekly. And if we can help take that worry off her plate...then she can focus 100% on getting better and taking care of her babies. They are 5 and 1 years old.
She was diagnosed at the age of 26 and has been fighting it for about 4 months now.
She has been thru chemo, immunotherapy, and had a lumpectomy so far.
Unfortunately the immunotherapy has left her with a grade 3 liver injury and drug induced autoimmune hepatitis. This is the focus right now before she starts her next round of chemo. She has to get her liver better. The symptoms of this are debilitating from nausea, vomiting, and horrible itching.
If you can please help us give her some peace of mind by donating it would be so greatly appreciated. If you can't donate please share this so we can get it seen by as many people as possible.
Thank you all so much for your support and love.
