No one ever said Civil War Reenacting is a safe hobby - Accidents do happen. My good friend Brandon Reynolds suffered a bad accident recently while attending the 155th Gettysburg.
Long story short Brandon's Colt Walker accidentally fired, which left a big hole in his hand. Medical bills are already stacking up, not to mention the initial ER visit was "Out of Network". He has a tough road to haul on his way to a full recovery and use of his hand. His day-job is an extremely tough one, and requires both hands…
Estimated costs at this point will be a large amount - about $10,000.00. Brandon wants any dollars raised, which surpass his actual need to cover medical bills, to be donated to the Cedar Creek Battlefield Foundation.
As many of you know, the Cedar Creek reenactment has been canceled this year. Because of that, the foundation will lose many dollars, not to mention the need of more funds in the future for more security. So, it is a wonderful thing that Brandon is doing. Can you help him out?
We learned once again at last year’s Cedar Creek, we are all a huge family. I hope we can come together yet again to help a brother in need, while at the same time help preserve one of the largest events we have all come to love.
