Dear Friends, my name is Amber and I am raising funds for my cousin and best friend Brenda in her fight against triple negative breast cancer.

Brenda is an incredible Wife to Clinton, and they share two wonderful children together Sage (19) and Cameron(12).

Brenda has been working as a Medical Assistant and Office Supervisor at Annexus Dermatology for several years.

As Brenda embarked on her journey to fight breast cancer in February it has been nothing but a rocky road. Her chemotherapy treatments come every two weeks and are devastating her physical and mental state. The nature of the chemotherapy that Brenda is receiving is the most aggressive, which is necessary due to the rapacious nature of TNBC and the chances of it spreading to other parts of her body. Unfortunately, after the first day of chemotherapy, Brenda has been subjected to very daunting side effects which only intensify with each additional treatment. Brenda is grappling with weakness, fatigue, nausea, hair loss, and bone/joint pain every day. These devastating side effects have halted Brenda's ability to physically function on a normal level. It has become impossible for her to make it to work most days.

Brenda has several months remaining of chemotherapy treatments which incur a high out of pocket cost for the Betzel family to endure. Once Brenda has completed her chemotherapy treatments, she will have surgery for a double mastectomy to remove any remaining cancer and reduce future chances of reoccurrence. Followed by reconstructive surgery.

The financial burden of the chemotherapy treatment and surgical procedures has proven too much for Brenda and her family.

The Brenda we all know, and love has been trying her hardest to put on a smile for her friends and family and face these challenges, but she has become overwhelmed. During this difficult time, I'm hoping to share some light to ease the burden on Brenda and her family.

Brenda's treatment plan demands her full attention and commitment for the next year, with the next six months being particularly crucial. We as her loved ones cannot allow her to falter because of financial limitations. Now we have the opportunity to show our loving support for Brenda and her family through donations made to pay for her treatment.
