Hello, my name is Courtney and I am starting this for my cousin Christine Ayers, her son Mark Ayers has now been hospitalized for 31 days. Mark or Marky as his family calls him started having pain on May 15th and went to the Unity Point ER. He spent numerous days in Sioux City, with his pancreatitis. After doing everything they could they had to send him to UNMC in Omaha for treatment. He was out of the ICU for a few days, but last night he had to go back to ICU. We don’t know when he will be getting out of the hospital. His mom Christine Ayers has been by his side the entire time. Christine is staying at the hotel connected to UNMC, which is $55 a night. Since they are in Omaha, Christine has not been able to go to work. Christine has already used up all of her PTO. I started this fund for Christine, so she can continue to be by her sons side and not worry about money. The bills are adding up fast. As of right now this is NOT for medical bills, this is so Christine can stay with Marky and take a little bit of the pressure off of her.
