Hey y'all, I'm Sydney!

My partner Sarah (she/they) is preparing to undergo top surgery, a life-changing procedure that will bring her immense emotional, mental, and physical relief. This surgery is a vital step in Sarah's journey to feel at home in her body, but the cost is more than we can handle on our own.

Half of U.S. states don't have laws that ensure insurance protection for LGBTQ people (Axios, 2024). Our home, Louisiana, is one of those states, which means despite being insured, providers will not cover Sarah's surgery.

Since this will be a completely out-of-pocket expense, we are asking for your support.

Sarah is an extraordinary person—a loving partner, a talented musician and artist, and a cherished friend, sibling, and daughter. This surgery will make an immeasurable difference in her life, and we need your help to make it possible.
