Support Bergen Rebello's Stroke Recovery

Please help Bergen Rebello with stroke challenges on her road to recovery.

My name is Dawn, and I'm fundraising for an amazing woman struggling to recover physically and financially, from a stroke. Here is her story.

On December 11, my great friend and colleague Bergen Rebello suffered a hemorrhagic stroke. The paramedics were called that Monday morning by a coworker in Washington DC, who she tried to reach to say that could not get on a Zoom call. She was on the floor and dragged her cell phone off the bed, barely able to speak or text. Bergen was brought to the ICU and was hospitalized for 37 days.

When she returned home in January, she had to part ways with her last company as part of her future months of recovery. Most unfortunately, she did not qualify for either unemployment or social security. As a result, she was left with no financial resources. Without being able to work, she is at a loss. Her job is no longer available and she has to find new employment.

She now pays for her medical care herself, and health insurance is very expensive and out of pocket. While having to pay to live while recovering, even her necessary blood pressure medication is at risk. She was always healthy and independent! Friends and family asked, “how can we help?”

Bergen NEEDS OUR HELP! She has always been there for others and helps in any way she can.

Now, it is our time for us to give support and relieve some of the financial burden so that her goal to return to her career can continue, without other worries and concerns.

Please help to give Bergen some breathing room financially so she can get back on her feet.
