Hello! I’m Chandler Gillham. For those of you who don’t already know me, I spent about 5 years as a soldier in the US Army. During that time, I did a 9 month deployment to Afghanistan. There, my platoon had a very proficient linguist who, as it turns out, was also an all around great man to serve with. Our platoon considers him to be our family, but there’s a problem. Very recently, he immigrated from Afghanistan to the US. It’s already hard enough starting over in a new country, but to do so during the pandemic is exponentially worse. We’re starting this gofundme for him to support him through the struggles he now faces. Any support will be greatly appreciated.
