My mother in law, Selena Diggins, was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer in September of 2022 just after her birthday. For the last 2 years she has been working to fight this cancer through chemotherapy, radiation treatments, and surgeries as well as working hard to become the best version of herself.

After several months of no evidence of disease, her latest PET scan showed multiple spots on her liver which was confirmed by and MRI of her liver. She is now in a fight against stage 4 cancer and will need further biopsies, scans, and treatments to continue the fight.

Selena works full time but with upcoming medical treatments she will need to take time off work for doctors appointments, scans, and treatments. She has unfortunately used up any financial resources in the first round of her fight and we want to make sure that she can receive the care she deserves while not having to add to her stress and financial burden.

If anyone knows Selena, they know that she is one of the kindest, most compassionate souls who spends her time caring for her family, being a nana to her grandchildren, and volunteering to help others in need.

All funds will be used towards any accruing medical expenses and finding the best care team to help her fight this battle including holistic modalities that have been shown to improve long term outcomes. These holistic modalities, however, are not covered by insurance and we want to make sure that she has the absolute best team possible to cure this cancer.
