Beating Cancer with Your Help!

Donation protected
I have always taken good care of myself by working out and eating healthy. Being in the fitness industry helped me to stay on track with my health. I never thought I would hear the words you have cancer. We don't have cancer in the family, I live a drug-free life, moderate alcohol consumption and have consciously done my best to stay healthy. I love life, being with my son and husband, traveling, laughing and helping others with their health and fitness. So why and how do I have cancer?

4 years ago when I was diagnosed with degenerative discs in my 3 lower discs in my spine I was put on different meds to help the nerve pain. I had side effects that I thought were long lasting. Not realizing until now that what I thought were side effects was actually cancer growing inside me. I always kept up with my doctor appointments, labs, and any time something felt off I would get it checked. None of my doctors saw the cancer in my body. Unknowing, I kept pushing forward every day. I was tired but I thought it was my thyroid condition. I have had constipation issues, but I thought it was gastro related. I kept pushing forward. I did what I could and worked around all the problems that my body was having.

At the end of October of 2020 I noticed a bump in what I thought was on my intestines. We figured since I had issues going to the bathroom and I was bloating up every time when I ate, that it was again, gastro related. I made an appointment with a gastroenterologist. The appointment was a month out and in the mean time the pain was becoming so unbearable I did my first walk in at the doctors. They thought it was my liver but since my doctor routinely tests my liver every year we went with constipation as to the cause of the pain. We tried all kinds of products to help move things along. Finally I saw the gastroenterologist and had a colonoscopy. Everything came out fine. Now I was thinking what could be wrong? Not being able to take the pain because my stomach was getting bigger and bigger like I was pregnant on one side of my body I did another walk in. That doctor sent me to the ER to get a CT Scan.

I will never forget December 17th when I was told that I had cancer masses in my liver, spleen, uterus, hip bone, and particles of cancer in my kidneys and lungs. This was the scariest thing I have ever heard. My thought was I can't die now, my son has senior year, he is just beginning his life and I want to be part of it. I can't leave my husband and son. It's not my time, this is not my CT scan, let's do it again. I was in shock! To have to tell my husband and son that I have cancer all over my body and that I might not be around much longer to share our lives together was the worse thing I had to do. It was almost Christmas time, my son was getting senior pictures done, and I had to give my family traumatizing news like this.

I love my family with all of my heart. They are my world and the reason I get up every day to enjoy life, to workout, to eat healthy, to stay positive. I want to continue my life’s journey as long as I can. I believe this is not my time and with your contributions and prayers I will have a fighting chance to conquer this cancer in my body and become a healthy body once again.
My doctor has diagnosed me with soft tissue sarcoma. It is very rare, only about 2% of patients have this. My doctor is having me take 6 tablets daily of a new radiation and chemo drug called Votrient to reduce the effects. This medication is replacing the traditional chemo and radiation treatments. We have decided as a family to have the best fighting chance to incorporate a proven metabolic therapy that works in conjunction with the medication. Through diligent research we have decided to work with a practitioner to work closely with me for the best chance for survival. I will need an RGCC stem cell test, special equipment and to follow a very strict diet. I will need a tremendous amount of support and help as I am only at the beginning of my race. I’m preparing now to hopefully cross that finish line and getting my life back. Everything has become overwhelming but with your support along side with my family we believe anything is possible.

I appreciate all of you and everything that you have and are continuing to do for me and my family. It means so much to us. We are beyond grateful. Thank you for your love and we send ours back to you. God Bless!

Love,

Shanti, Alfred, and Antonio
