Hi. My name is Jamie. I am a 38 year old, disabled mum of one.

I used to have a great career in the museum sector. I studied hard, and was on my way to becoming a museum curator when I fell in. In 2016 I was diagnosed with Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome. I kept working but after a few years I couldn’t keep up with my job and was medically retired. I currently live off my pension and benefits but I desperately want to be working. I want to go back to art school so I can study to become a children’s book illustrator but because I’ve studied before I can’t get funding for the course and the tuition fees are more than I can afford.

I need £6,935 each year. A total of £20,805. I will be scouring the internet for bursaries and grants but if you could help me out I would really appreciate it.
