Toni Tenorio was diagnosed on April 15th with a positive covid test. On April 21st she was seen at dr. Hahn's office for a follow up. She continued to not feel good that day and I had a friend come over help me give her a bath. Once she got her meds and inhaler, she laid down and I could hear she was having trouble breathing. I got her dressed and took her to Winchester hospital. While we were there, she was diagnosed with having pneumonia in both of her lungs and her oxygen level was only at 40%. The doctor said she would be there for awhile and she would be moved into the ICU. They would not let me stay the night so I got home at 6am on Thursday morning. By noon, the doctor was calling me to ask if they could put her on a ventilator machine. I allowed them to after consulting with friends and her son. As the days went on, she seemed to be making progress, they said when they lowered her sedation she would try to breath over the tube, she would make movements and at one point, they were only giving her 40% oxygen. Things took a turn for the worse, the doctor called me to say that her vent settings were maxed out, they were doing everything they could but that nothing was working. The family was allowed to come in and say their goodbyes. On Mother's Day we made the decision that she would not want to lay there and suffer. Her body was tired and could not go on any longer. I refused to let them take her off the machine that day, so the next day May 10th, my brother and I held her up until she took her last breath. We let a chaplain come in and say a prayer for her and bless her. In the waiting room, we had family and friends who were  waiting for us. I am making this page to ask for help with the funeral arrangements. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask. We will be having a celebration of life at a date not known at this moment but I will let everyone know as soon as possible.
