Support Philip's Urgent Medical Needs

As many of you may already know, our father, Philip Bynoe was rushed to the hospital on Christmas morning while on holiday in Indiana, USA.

We are grateful to the doctors and medical staff who treated him while he was at Ball State University Hospital as when he arrived his heart was functioning at 26% and oxygen level was below 70%. We truly believe they saved his life.

After many tests, he was diagnosed with Acute Congestive Heart Failure. Unfortunately, scans of his heart also showed a mass on his right kidney. To determine what the mass was and also check for any other abnormalities , a PET Scan was done while in the U.S. and the mass showed to be cancerous and two lymph nodes showed suspicious signs.

Due to his heart condition, he had to wait several weeks after being released from hospital in the U.S. and returning to Barbados to ensure that he was stable and the heart strong enough to undergo surgery to remove the kidney as the mass is large and chemotherapy and radiation are not viable options according to his doctors.

The surgery is scheduled for 3rd April to remove the kidney and mass as well as do further investigation of the two lymph nodes.

Following the successful surgery he will require further intervention and testing by his cardiologist.

To this end, we are reaching out to family, friends and friends of friends to ask for your assistance with these medical expenses which will be numerous.

The immediate need is US$28,000 and we will continue to update as we are given more information by his doctors for his ongoing prognosis and needs.
