Help Shakinah Smith : CCS Family Member

My name is Shakinah Smith. I am an infant assistant teacher at Community Christian School. In May/June 2021, I was diagnosed with recurrent breast cancer: this time it was triple negative breast cancer. After several rounds of chemotherapy treatments and a bilateral (double) mastectomy without reconstruction, I was put on Trodelvy, then Enhhertu for several months. I learned after an emergency visit to the hospital due to vomiting and intense headaches, there is a very small mass on my brain. Sometimes cancer spreads to other parts of the body, which is called metastatic breast cancer. I am currently receiving Xeloda chemo pills and recently underwent 3 sessions of brain radiation, specifically known as gamma knife stereotactic radio-surgery/radiation. There have been many side effects of these medications and radiation, which prevent me from working most days and put me in the hospital to ease intense pain.

Some of you may well know of my medical history; and the fact I believe in fighting the good fight of faith in JESUS CHRIST. I am determined by the grace of GOD to live my best life doing what I love, with the people I love. As much as I enjoy attending CCS, I have learned to listen to my body, allowing myself to get proper rest and recover. I admit sometimes my roles as a wife, mother, teacher, and friend/breast cancer supporter takes over because I want to contribute in any way possible. With that being said, I pray you find it in your heart to help lessen the financial burden for me and my family so that we can focus on my health. I know the economy is in financial crisis; so whatever you give, will be highly appreciated. I am not looking for pity: I am looking for compassion.

I prayerfully hope we will as believers in CHRIST according to Colossians 3:13 “Therefore, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Let's continue to believe the WORD OF GOD has the power to heal and transform our lives. Our FATHER, JEHOVAH RAPHA, sent HIS SON, JESUS to heal, save, and set us free according to LUKE 4:18-19. JEHOVAH can heal even the hard things according to Jeremiah 32:27, BEHOLD, I AM THE LORD, THE GOD OF ALL FLESH, IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR ME?” I pray GOD will reveal HIMSELF to me not only as my deliverer, but also my JEHOVAH RAPHA-MY HEALER. ’’EXODUS 15:26 ....FOR I AM THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU”
