It's really hard to write this, but we need your help.

The past two weeks, our lives were flipped upside down as Shawn, my husband, is battling stage 4 cancer. As he has battled for his life at St. Clair Hospital for the past week, we have a long journey ahead of us.

What started out as what we thought was a virus went to potential liver failure, to an infectious disease, to the words you never want to hear: definitely cancer. Shawn received his first chemo treatment on Friday and will continue for the next 6 months. We are hopeful that he will be coming home soon, but we are processing each hour as it comes. His kids, family and friends waiting for him to come home.

I know in the world we live in, it’s tough for everyone to spare anything extra and we understand. I am trying to keep the kids' sports lives going as best I can for now and the future until he can get back to work. If you are more comfortable sending Venmo, it is @JennaSkeans.
