Help Molly Heal

** UPDATE 1/17 **
Molly has been found!!! Our first stop was to the Beclair Animal Hospital, where she is going to get a new splint and needed medical attention. Thank you everyone who has donated or has shared her story - it has truly been a blessing. We will update as soon as we pick her up from the vet!

** UPDATE 1/16 **
For those who are not on the Facebook page, Molly is lost again. We are so sorry that we didn't update sooner but once she bolted from out driveway, our only focus was finding her and bringing her back safely. We updated every lost and found page we posted on and it never occurred to update here as well. It was not our intention to mislead, and if you feel that way I am so sorry. The funds that have been raised so far are covering the first vet bill ($900), and are now being used to find her. Also, if Molly is found she is going to need immediate medical help, and the funds will go towards those bills. Thank you all so much for the support, prayers, and the kindness you have all shown us the last week. Now, let's find Molly!!

Earlier today my friend and I were able to save a female German Shepherd off the interstate. We took her to the Pet Hospital (my personal office) - who were fantastic and very helpful. They gave her some pain medicine but we ended up going to Berclair Animal Hospital at the suggestion of the Humane Society for cost reasons. She is estimated about 2-3 years, 80lbs, and has not had puppies recently as she is not lactating. She does have a broken left front leg, a couple infected cuts, an infected ulcer on her back right leg, possibly some internal bruising (she had some blood in her urine), and she is HW+. Overall the vet said not too bad considering. She is very sweet and was not aggressive, even though she was in a lot of pain. For now, “Molly” is at the Berclair Animal Clinic overnight to watch for any further complications. They put a temporary splint on her leg. Unfortunately, her leg is going to require surgery to fix the break or amputation.

Her current bill is almost $900 (we put down a $600 deposit) and we are getting estimates on surgery for her leg. The vet said it would be at least another $1500-$2500 for the surgery since it has to be a specialist. I’m not really in a position to pay for all of this. We just wanted to help the poor pup, and could really use help to cover medical cost.
