First, I am sincerely grateful to anyone who is reading this now and considering how to best help a very good friend of mine. Any personal private support depending on your level of relationship is greatly appreciated.
I have known "D" for a few years now and she has the kindest and biggest heart. I was shocked to hear of her sudden separation and impending divorce. It was NECESSARY she get out of her current situation. Unfortunately, she was kicked out of her home, removed from the phone plan and she will be loosing her summer income as a special education teacher. She needs help with legal fees, rent an other miscellaneous expenses.
I ask that anyone wanting to help but also wanting to know more details, contact my friend privately. We will be using discretion for what further information should be shared due to safety issues. I ask that if you make a contribution that you are careful to NOT hit the Facebook share feature and that you select to hide your name and make it anonymous to the public. We can see your name on our end. You can privately share this page.
Additionally, here's how your donors can make an anonymous donation:
Have them click the "Donate Now" button on the campaign
On the next page, they need to check the box under their first name that says "Hide my donation from everyone except the organizer."
This will prevent their name from appearing on the GoFundMe campaign. Please note that campaign organizers (like yourself) will still receive an email with their name and comment (if there is one).
Any raised funds not used will be donated to a nearby women's shelter.
