Dear Friends,
I am asking for your help and support in my time of need. As I reflect on my situation to write this introduction, my mind is drawn to the teachings of Jesus, where I am reminded of Luke 18:41. There, Jesus asks the blind man, “What do you want me to do for you?” His answer has resounded through the ages: “Lord, I want to see.”
I am facing a similar challenge in my own life. Today, it has a name: Rod-Cone Dystrophy, a condition that gradually steals one’s sight, leading to complete blindness. There is no cure for CRD. It has reached a point where I can no longer see the Missal on the altar during the celebration of the Eucharist, making it a painful challenge for me.
Additionally, my right eye requires immediate surgical intervention by a retina specialist to replace a lens and prevent further deterioration.
This has encouraged me to ask for your help. The procedures involve numerous medical expenses, including surgery, tests, consultations, and post-operative care.
Unfortunately, my insurance coverage falls short, leaving me unable to afford the necessary eye surgery.
Your generosity makes a difference, enabling me to receive the needed surgery. Your support not only helps me undergo the required surgery but also signals your empathy and concern for others. I believe that God works through His people, and your act of compassion is a testament to your care.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, will be a great help. If you are unable to assist financially, please remember me in your prayers.
May God bless you abundantly for your generosity, and may His grace be with you always.
With sincere gratitude.
