Our five year old English bulldog went in for BOAS surgery. The surgery was to remove a piece of tissue that covers flat faced dogs airway and help give them a better life without struggling to breathe. During recovery he aspirated on blood and had to be reintubated. Now he has pulminary edma which is pneumonia. He is extremely sick. This morning we were told that the Vet hospital he was at didn't have the equipment to keep him intubated much longer and the only facility that has the proper equipment is UC Davis. We asked if we could transfer Thor to UC Davìs because we are not ready to give up on him. One of the employees volunteered her car, the nurses supervisor offered to be with him and make sure he stayed intubated with proper medication and another nurse offered to manually breath for our baby Thor. Uc Davis was a hour and a half a way, we followed behind them and when we got there, there was a team waiting for his arrival.
He is now at the best facility. We have already spent $20,000.00 between both facilities and UCLA only collected a down payment. Please help me save my best friend. Thor is so special to us, we got him during Covid when my mom was intubated and we almost lost her. Thor has gotten me through the most difficult times in my life. Any help is appreciated. Please help me save my best buddy!
