Honor Flight Guardian for veterans

I'd love to go as often as I can in 2016!
As a daughter of a Navy vet, and a passion for
supporting our men and women in uniform.
I have volunteered for Wounded Warrior Foundation and as a Hopice volunteer, I care for our beloved vets on a weekly basis.
I only learned about Honor Flight last night and I cannot think of anything I'd rather do than accompany one of our cherished veterans to the DC Memorials.
There isn't an athlete, singer, or actor that matches what it's like to be a hero, anymore than those who served our country.
I have a heart for our vets that know no boundaries.❤️
Guardians are volunteers that travel with the veterans to Washington, D.C. They ensure that every veteran has a safe and memorable experience. Duties include, but are not limited to, physically assisting the veterans at the airport, during the flight and at the memorials. This is a physically taxing trip..... Guardians are also responsible for their own expenses (air fare, accommodations, meals, transportation, etc.).
My father has passed away as well as a Viet Nam vet who was like a big brother to me, and one of the few people in my life that had a powerful, lasting impact.
I believe being a guardian would have a lasting impact on my 3 sons in how we can and MUST give back to those who protected us.
Please consider helping me to make a trip or two in 2016.
The amount doesn't matter. Every dollar would get me closer to a dream come true for me and a memory for a lifetime.
