Henri Sankala is seriously ill — help us cover his air ambulance travel to Finland and additional medical bills he'll be facing from his hospital stay in Ibiza.

Just few months ago, Henri was healthy and full of life. Today he is fighting for his life. A sudden, aggressive illness has turned his world upside down, and now he needs the help of the people who love him.

You sometimes, you think about life that you have all the time in the world. In one sense, that's correct, but in this human body, it can be so short time here on this planet Earth.

I have found myself in a situation with no symptoms before returning from Bali to have my complete immune system shut down, having multiple cancer, maybe tumors, which need to be more studying. And so far I've been sick for four months. It's really weighing down on my finances. And if you would like to support this fight to back so that I can get into treatment, because they now quit my treatment here in Ibiza. They said they can't do more for me here. So we have multiple options to look at some other treatment options.

I just want to tell you, my life has always been so much fun with all of you, my friends, my family in it. And I would like to fight and go to the other side and beat this thing. But I think I'm going to need a little bit of help!

Henri , 26.6.2026 in Ibiza

A few months ago, while traveling abroad, Henri began noticing worrying signs that something was wrong. His friends urged him to return to Finland for tests, as his condition had clearly started to decline. Those test results confirmed his cancer diagnosis.

After receiving the news, Henri returned to Ibiza for his work and to wait for more results, but his condition worsened very rapidly.

When his family received confirmation of how serious things had become, they traveled to Ibiza at once. They found him in a very fragile and weak condition, and rushed him straight to a local private hospital to stabilize his health. Since then, his condition has required 24/7 medical care. We then discovered that the hospital in Spain would not be able to continue his treatment with a path to recovery.

With this news, his family and dear friends worked rapidly to arrange an urgent air ambulance transfer to Finland. Henri has just arrived at Oulu University Hospital, where they are doing everything they can to help Henri recover.

Friends from across Europe and all over have already rallied around Henri in wonderful ways, supporting him both in person at the Ibiza hospital and from remote locations around the world.

Now, if you are able, you can help finance Henri's care and recovery in the form of this fundraiser. The air ambulance (about 50 000 euros), together with his hospital costs in Ibiza, adds up to roughly 80,000 euros. Every contribution, large or small, makes a real difference.
