"Spreading the Gospel in Costa Rica"

Hello, my name is Danielle ,
Last year , I embarked on the most amazing trip! I went to Costa Rica on a missions trip with my Christian school. The cost of this year's trip is $1,500. I am also working to raise additional funds to "gift " my little friends this trip.
This year, my parents challenged me to raise the money myself, as it's customary for Missionaries to raise their own support.
Last year trip was personally rewarding as I watched the tico's and tica's (tico's and tica's are the little Costa Rican children) and how they where so happy with very little. I gave one little boy a McDonald's Happy Meal toy and he began to cry. I honestly felt ashamed of myself. To be perfectly honest, I would have traded the toy for something better, but that little tico cried. It made me realize three things on this trip:
1. How much I legitamently needed God in my life. I cannot live without him.
2. To be grateful for what I have. That's so cliche but true, I live in the greatest country in the world, the United States.
3. That God speaks to and through all of us. As a young person, I have struggled with that so much. But in Costa Rica, I learned if I open my heart, he will speak and work through me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and taking me one step closer to my tico's and spreading the Gospel!
Your prayer's and support are greatly appreciated!
