As most people that know me know,  I live across the country from my family.  My mother was diagnosed with lupus and MS approximately 7-8 years ago.

A couple of days ago she went to the hospital because of an MS flare-up. I have recently been updated by family and doctors that she is unresponsive and not doing very well.

I had two weeks between jobs and I just moved into a new apartment so money is very tight. I want to visit my mom since we don't know what to expect in the next few days. A lot of you know it's not easy for me to ask for help, but in this situation, I am putting my pride aside to make sure I can buy a plane ticket to see my mom.
