The 7th grade class at Lionel Wilson College Prep in East Oakland is fundraising to go to Six Flags! They have worked hard all year, overcoming the challenge of having no math or science teacher due to the national teacher shortage that has hit Oakland especially hard. It would mean so much to the 7th grade class if you could donate to help pay for our transportation via bus and to defray the cost of student tickets. Buses are more expensive than ever now ($2000 for one day)! Tickets to the park are $40 each for students and my goal is to make the trip free for students so that cost is not a barrier for any student to enjoy the trip! Over 80% of our school receives free/reduced lunch, and to ease the financial burden we need to get creative to be able to do joyful, celebratory incentive trips like this one. Help the 7th graders celebrate being done with their state testing and final exhibitions projects by enjoying the rides at Six Flags!
