7th Annual Besse Family Angel Toy Drive

The Besse Family Foundation is now in its 7th year partnering with the Salvation Army  for their wonderful Christmas Angel Program.

 

In their 38th year The Salvation Army faces more challenges than ever before!! The Salvation Army will  receive over 50,000 applications for assistance from families with children under 12 years old whom cannot afford otherwise provide their kids with presents under the tree.

 

Beginning in our youth our families taught up to help others in need and in 2015 my wife and I launched this amazing fundraiser to help as many people as possible because we knew we had the family, friends, clients and personal network to do more for more! It's easy to save up a few bucks and make an impact but when you can put together a group of amazing people the impact can be massive. 

In 2015 we fundraised enough to help about 50 kids, 2016 about 100, 2017 a massive jump to about 200 kids, 2018 & 2019 about 325 kid and last year in a pandemic in its prime we raised over $22,000 helping 500 kids bringing our total to about $82,000 which has helped us help nearly 2,000 kids. 

 

2021 has been an incredible tough year on people, some people are fighting to keep a roof over their heads, some people I have personally spoken with have chosen to not eat on certain days to save money. Mental health is at an all time low and certainly the cost of everything has risen. 

While all that above brings caution to the forefront, we have decided to go on the offense. Our goal for 2021 is $22,001 again helping us help over 500 kids when they really need it the most. 

Our AMAZING group of volunteers, fundraisers, friends, family and clients and potential clients alike have risen up in the past and with the blessing of the good Lord above, WE WILL REACH OUR GOAL.

 

Our shopping adventure will be held on December 14, 2021 at the Walmart on Northsite Blvd in North Scottsdale from 9am until the last toy is purchased.

We will need about 100 people over 2-3 shifts this year to help us shop, bag, purchase and load. 9am-12pm, 11am-2pm and 1pm-4pm. Please let us know which slot you'd like to help with.
