Hello my name is Douglas Birch and I am an aspiring film maker from Scotland. My dream is to study and make a career from the art I love . This year I applied and was accepted for a Cinematography BA at Columbia College Chicago. This is an amazing opportunity as the training there will be very different from the UK and develops brilliant award winning filmmakers. A US or UK student grant/loan is not available for me as I am an international student.Through my part time job, savings and support from my family I can finance some of the tuition fees but in order to accept this place I need to raise approximately £10,000 to cover the full costs and expenses of my first year.
