“This past week, our beloved Alex Binyam Abraha, passed away in Cowetta County, in Georgia. As horrible as dealing with death is, our family has to deal with confusing and unclear details from the police, with no concrete evidence or story. Our family was also notified days after his death. Our family was told by an investigator on the case that they would be working on the autopsy, yet there was an article posted stating an autopsy was already finished and concluded. As we the family search for a sense of closure, we want to come together and ask for support with funeral expenses and planning his final resting place.

Alex grew up in Worthington, Minnesota and graduated from Worthington High School. He made lasting friendships with many Worthington folks and touched many lives.

Alex was always a funny and smiling kid. Even though he was quiet, he always stepped up to support and love those around him. He always had a love for humanity and for his family. We ask everyone reading this to contribute what they can and pray for the family as they grieve and process this great pain. As the investigation still continues, our family is tasked with putting together the pieces which come with many expenses that are heavy burdens. Thank you so much for all of your kindness, and support.
