Our beloved Francisco Rivera (Pancho) has passed away unexpectedly on Jan 12th due to complications with Covid.

Francisco was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who touched the lives of those around him. Francisco (my dad) dedicated his life to providing for his family. He was 78 years of age and lived a love-filled life. Sadly Francisco was hospitalized on January 1st. Within a week his health had significantly declined and on January 12th we received the dreadful call that he had passed. He and his wife purchased a Life Insurance policy back in 2006 to assure that if something like this were to happen, at least the financial expenses were taken care of. Upon meeting with the funeral director regarding the expenses we were met with even more heartbreaking news. That the life insurance policy they had purchased was an Accidental Only life insurance policy which does not cover covid related death. So for 16 years they were not only paying into the policy but believed that they were covered.

A few days before that we had gone and made the arrangements at both the funeral home and the cemetery letting our mom make it as beautiful as she'd like it to be. Comfortably “knowing” the expenses were covered.

We are hoping to raise funds that will help cover funeral and memorial costs. We are grateful for the love, prayers, and gifts. Francisco was the greatest gift that anyone could have and he will forever be missed. We believe in the power of prayer and our prayers are with every family going through hardship. Especially during the difficult times the world is struggling with.
