Hello everyone!
I have been accepted into People To People's Student Ambassador Program. I will be traveling to England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland this summer (June 2014). The program was started by President Dwight Eisenhower in 1956 to give everyday citizens of different countries an opportunity to meet and get to know each other. Alaska brings 40 student ambassadors and I have been selected as one of them.
Through People To People, I will journey to 4 amazing European stops in 19 days. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for me. I will be able to experience the European culture in a way that most tourists wish for. Some of the highs of the trip will be: visiting with a member of Parliment in England, repelling a castle wall in Wales, looking for Nessie in Scotland and doing a home-stay (living with a family) in Ireland.
I know this is extreme short notice to try to get funds raised, but I've already planned on using my PFD along with any money from side jobs. Plus I'm asking businesses for possible sponsorship as well.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal and being a part of this amazing adverture. I'm looking forward to coming back and sharing with all of you the awesome pictures and stories of my trip.
