Help Maverick Come Home!

Hi my name is Zoey Andrews

After years of begging for a puppy every Christmas and birthday, my brother and I were surprised with our puppy, Maverick as a Christmas present two years ago. He has now become not only the neighborhood dog, but also our moms favorite. Everyone who knows my family knows about Maverick. Out of no where, Saturday night, Maverick became very sick and led us to taking him to the emergency vet Sunday night. After waiting for X-Rays, they found a large piece of cloth in his small intestine which meant he needed surgery ASAP. The surgery went well, and he was then put on a feeding tube and watched for the next 24 hrs in the vet. Everything seemed to be going good until around 3:30 today when he started crashing and they had to do another emergency surgery that was very risky and we weren’t sure if he was going to make it or not. We prayed and prayed and had so many friends and family also praying over him, and he made it through the surgery better than expected! He’s now going to be on antibiotics and have blood work done while they monitor him. We were told this next couple days might be a roller coaster, so please pray for our little Maverick boy. I know my step dad and mom would never ask for money themselves and that’s also not my goal in this, just hoping we could get a little extra help as the bill has come out to around $10,000 and we still aren’t sure what else could happen.
