Frankie Bernstein, Jr passed away 8/6/21 of unknown causes; his death results are pending. Frankie suffered from mental illness and, as so many with mental illness, addiction. In his honor, his family- mom Lori, dad Frank Sr, brother Joey and sisters Danielle and Lisa- would like to build an affordable living house for those suffering from mental illness and addiction. They had started this project for Frankie before he passed but now will open it to others. The family has purchased the land but needs $10,000 for the impact fees (water, electrical lines, etc). They plan to have a modular home that will house five people. It will be called Frankie's Home. We thought about calling it Frankie's House, but his mom Lori said no; a house is just walls. I want it to be someone's home. And Frankie, finally, is at Home and at rest.
Frankie grew up in Tarpon Springs, FL, and went to Sunset Elementary School and the family was active at St, Ignatius Church. In 2001 they moved to Oviedo, FL, and now live in Daytona Beach, where Frankie died.
Please support this cause so that someone with mental illness can have a safe home to live in. As there is no such thing as other people's children, you have no idea who you might help. Thank you very much.
