At 3:00 P.M. March 2nd, 2017 a fire broke out at the home of Steve and Carole Harrell on Farrel Drive; Slidell, LA in the Belair Subdivision. They were able to escape with their lives along with two cats and a bird. Their entire home and belongings have been completely destroyed.
The Harrell family has lived in the Slidell Belair subdivision at Farrel Street for the past 18 years. Steve served both the United States Army and Navy. While in service of his country, he sustained a bullet and also lost one of his lungs. Minus one lung but with a HUGE heart, Steve recently retired and was looking forward living a quiet life when this tragic event unfolded.
