Hello all!

7SICU is raising money to support a colleague pursuing his dream to be a doctor.  His name is Alejandro Vazquez and he works with the neurology department as a stroke program research coordinator.  Alex will be starting medical school at Keck School of Medicine in June 2018 but is in need of funds to assist with books and some daily expenditure.

Hard-working and devoted, Alex has been volunteering in the community since 2006 and has been awarded "Volunteer of the Year" twice by LAC-USC Medical Center in 2008 and 2013.  Through his volunteer work, he found his passion in neurology and his philosophy has always been to give back to the underserved community.  It is not unusual for you to find him giving back by tutoring SAT prep courses and Calculus classes in South Los Angeles.   

If we are able to help him realize his dreams, it will mean the most to him, and for us as a unit.  He is currently working to save as much money on his own, but with our assistance, his already demanding schedule can be off-loaded a bit.  Every bit of help will be appreciated.

We need to raise $2,000 which is why we have created a GoFundMe to cover the costs.
