John's Journey

John was diagnosed with an aggressive Parathyroid Sarcomatoid in October. This type of cancer is so rare that he is 1 of 10 people in the world to be diagnosed. (We knew he was special but now we know he is extremely special!) The only viable treatment is surgery. John underwent a 9 hour surgery on January 10th. They removed the tumor, over an inch of his trachea, a nerve controlling his vocal cord, and had to do a partial sternotomy. John will be recovering in ICU and in the hospital for at least a week.

Due to the need for multiple specialists, along with the lengthy hospitalization, the costs will be extensive. Unfortunately, the main surgeon needed to do this surgery is not in-network. The out of pocket expenses as well as the anticipated time away from work is a cause for concern.

If you feel led, we would love to bless John, Katie, and their girls to help relieve some of this significant financial burden. God is good and we know He has our precious brother in His arms!
