Due to Hurricane Helene, I lost my job and since then I’ve applied to hundreds of jobs in Asheville and surrounding areas as well as out of state. In March of 2025 I made the decision to leave my apartment (I was on a month to month lease) as I couldn’t afford it and didn’t want an eviction on my record. Since then I’ve been staying with various family and friends and I’ve not only exhausted myself, but other people as well. I recently got a job in Asheville and it’s finally time to get my own space since where I’m currently staying is an hour and a half away. I’ve found a place to live but I’m having trouble making enough money to pay the security deposit and first and last months rent. It’s the perfect spot for me price wise and it’s close to my job. With the money I make from here I’d be able to pay all the fees, get a uhaul to move my things from storage, and set up utilities!
