I've known BJ for some time now, and if you know him you love him. I started this go fund me to help ease his burden of being unable to work at full capacity for an extended time before his surgery and now after. He's recovering from his third open heart surgery due to HCM, and currently in the intensive care unit. His recovery will be long- unable to drive for min 6 weeks and will more than likely be in a considerable amount of pain. These funds will go directly to paying for bills, food, and expenses as he recovers, so he can do so at a healthy pace. Bj is a remarkable human, musician, brother, artist, friend, and partner. He is also one of the strongest people I have ever met. This year has been extremely tough for him and the barbee family in general, and I know he wouldn't reach out or ask for anything because that's just not who he is. Which is why I wanted to start this. I know the world is very turbulent and dark right now, I appreciate all your generosity. If he's made you laugh, smile, if his art or music have spoke to you in any way it would be awesome to show some love back at this time.
