Boston's surgery and aftercare

Hi, I am Boston. 5 years ago I was a pup wandering the street of Memphis until I was thrown in a high kill pet jail. I was so close to not making it past my 6 month birthday until Paws New England saved me and then 2 months later introduced me to my new family.

Let's fast forward to today. My Moms are amazing, but I hear them talking about how I am costing them so much right now because I have this miserable tumor on my foot. They took me to the vet to see if they can heal my pain. That's how thoughtful they are. However, we all learned I have a Round Cell Tumor, with a suspected Plasma Cell Tumor. Since the needle cells can only see so much, they can't confirm which tumor it is solely on that sample or if it is Benign or malignant. Although Doc is sure it is benign. To be sure though, I have to lose a toe to widen the margin for the sample and in hopes it stops the spread. I also will need xrays and more testing on the actual sample to confirm I will be ok.

Since my humans don't want me to hurt and they don't want me to die. They are doing everything they can. But Mumma lost her job in February that had my insurance attached to it, so there was a lapse in coverage. My new insurance says the tumor is pre-existing and will not cover anything related to it, including surgery. Mumma has done so much already, applied to Care Credit, Scratch pay and personal loans but was denied because her new job makes a lot less than the old one, being unemployed for 4 months dropped her credit score, and she has only been established in her new job for 2 months now. Her savings account has been drained to keep my feather siblings, my human parents and I fed, nurtured, clean, and well taken care of. But that didn't leave room for emergencies such as this.

So on their behalf, I am asking for you to help my Moms help me so I can live a longer life with them. They need to feel good about helping me and keeping me healthy. Any little bit helps.
