The accident: Mom myself (dad) and maverick were at the snow fest in Simi Valley with his daycare having a fun day, we took a little break from the action to relax and get a bite to eat at our daycare providers tent, maverick grabbed a piece of water melon off the table, turned to walk back to us, his foot stayed in place and twisted his leg causing him to trip with his led twisted, we all heard a snap. he screamed in pain as we tried taking a look that’s when we knew there was a problem. 


the injury: maverick suffered a spiral fracture on his femur and after 12 hours of hospital transfers, anesthesia, and a body cast he is stabilized and doing ok. 



My family and I are never ones to seek help even in times of need, but things continue piling on expense wise, mavericks insurance isn’t covering as much as we’d hoped for, and there were things needed for him to be comfortable for these next challenging 6+ weeks. Such as a special wheel chair, special car seat etc. 
with Brittany having to lose out on working to care for him, and us still having to keep a roof over our heads, we don’t have much else ofa choice, Maverick will need physical therapy treatment after these 6 weeks once the cast is off to learn to walk again and we are very optimistic that eveything will be okay.
